May The Dreams of Dear Everett Green Be Carolbound →
Pilot Books in Seattle published a short piece by me in their november issue of SMALLS. They have a great book shop that does a lot for the small press and indie presses of the country. I applied for one of their writers micro-residencies back in the summer and got wait-listed so we’ll see…
If anyone’s interested they just started a blog and are looking for writers. Hit em up...

want to do something fun #3: Urban Winter Camping
Winter camping is tough anyway ‘cause it’s cold as sin but at least you have a tent and a sanctuary to protect yourself. Try sleeping outdoors in a city. Try it once. In the morning I’m following a girl I like out to Minnesota cause she wants to show me what the heartland is. Is there a blinder or better reason to travel?

How Do You Sleep?
I’ve worked some awful jobs.
Humiliating. Ignominious. Berated by abusive bosses. Terrible jobs
I’ve put up with.
I’ve also written a decent story.
Maybe only three in my entire life, or one, but no less
than one, I know.
I’ve loved some terrible women.
Jealous, malicious. Under the scrutiny of desperate eyes I endured, slept uneasy.
Awful woman, for me.
